Interviewing, Client Counseling, and Negotiation Course

Welcome. This website provides information about the Interviewing, Client Counseling, and Negotiation course as taught by Prof. Jamar.

ICN introduces students to some basic skills needed to represent clients effectively. Approaches to lawyering, interviewing techniques, client counseling skills, and basic approaches to negotiation and some of the negotiating skills are introduced and practiced. ICN is a skills course and grading is not anonymous. If suitable arrangements can be made, various activities will be video recorded and reviewed individually. It is not clear at this time that the video recording requirements can be accommodated. If it is not practicable to video record, assessment will necessarily be based on performance without that component.

The first class will be Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm.

To the left are links to the course syllabus and instructions.
